Architecture   |   Two Walls
The project consists of designing and building two classrooms of 50m2 each, for the Eco Moyo Education Centre in Kilifi, Kenya.

It is a sustainable project, maximizing the use of local materials such as plastered coral stones, wood sticks, straw-bales, cob and recycled materials. The design is based on the principles of tropical architecture, which focuses on the characteristics of the local climate in order to minimize the use of energy.

The design process of the project was developed in a pyramid structure, starting with eleven individual concepts that went through a process of selection by merging different ideas resulting in one final project.

The SCS studio travelled to Kenya to build the project in April 2017.
