Architecture   |   Observatory tower in Iceland
The project starts with the will of understanding the landscape by observing it from different points of view and at the same time being a part of it; a horizontal and expansive landscape that is experienced at the starting point of the path when one feels that they belong to nature. Along the walk one understands the object as an interior but at the same time as a continuation of the path that guides the visitor towards the observatory. The observatory is the end to one of these routes and opens up towards the sky in order to understand the surrounding landscape. Therefore, the visitor will experience the transition from an interior space which opens up to specific framed views to a final volume in which the view is freed from architecture.

At its highest point, one is obliged to return to the path and continue the journey along the fissure and the natural surroundings understanding it as a part of the existing network of paths.
